Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Face Recognition, Turnstile & Pedestrian Access

Yes. Compatible face recognition terminals can be integrated with door access systems to provide controlled entry without relying solely on physical access cards.
Turnstiles help manage pedestrian entry and exit while allowing organisations to control who can enter a restricted area. They are commonly used in offices, factories, commercial buildings and other controlled facilities.
Traditional turnstiles use rotating arms, flap barriers use retractable panels, while swing barriers use swinging panels. The right choice depends on traffic volume, available space, accessibility, security requirements and building design.
Yes. Compatible turnstiles can be integrated with technologies such as RFID/card readers, QR access and face recognition to create a controlled pedestrian-entry system.

CCTV Surveillance System

The right CCTV system depends on your property size, monitoring requirements, lighting conditions and security risks. We provide CCTV solutions for offices, factories, warehouses, condominiums, commercial buildings and other properties across West Malaysia.
IP CCTV uses a network connection and generally offers higher resolution, easier system expansion and advanced remote monitoring features. Analog CCTV can be a cost-effective solution for simpler surveillance requirements.
Yes. CCTV systems can provide remote viewing through a smartphone, tablet or computer, allowing authorised users to monitor their premises while away.
The number depends on the building layout, entrances, exits, blind spots and areas requiring surveillance. A site assessment can help determine suitable camera locations and quantities.
Yes. S1 Security & Automation provides CCTV solutions including system installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance according to project requirements.

Barrier Gate & ANPR/LPR

An automatic barrier gate controls vehicle entry and exit at locations such as condominiums, factories, offices, car parks and gated communities. It can be integrated with different access-control technologies.
ANPR/LPR uses cameras and software to detect and recognise vehicle number plates. Approved vehicle numbers can then be used to automate access decisions or maintain vehicle-entry records.
ANPR identifies vehicles using their number plates, while RFID systems identify authorised tags or cards. The suitable solution depends on security requirements, traffic flow and how vehicle access should be managed
In many cases, yes. Compatibility depends on the existing barrier gate, controller and site configuration. Our team can assess the existing system before recommending an integration solution. S1 will put efforts for customers
Depending on the system configuration, unrecognised vehicles will be denied automatic entry and handled through security personnel, intercom, visitor registration or another verification method.

Door Access & Smart IoT Access Control

A door access control system restricts entry to authorised people using credentials such as access cards, PINs, mobile credentials, QR codes or biometric identification, depending on the selected system.
Cloud-based access control allows authorised administrators to manage supported access-control functions through a connected platform instead of relying solely on a traditional local management setup.
Smart IoT access control can provide centralised management, remote administration, access records and easier management of multiple access points, depending on the system configuration.
Yes. Suitable systems can be designed to manage multiple doors and, depending on the platform, multiple sites through centralised administration.
Yes. Nuveq Smart IoT access-control solutions is the first cloud base controller and it can be suitable for offices, commercial buildings and other facilities that require controlled entry and centralised access management. The appropriate configuration depends on the site's requirements.
